Over the years running my own products, I have used many smaller SaaS products built mainly by indie hackers, many of which have gone out of support more out of necessity than choice.

The recent wave of OpenClaw, which has also found its way into all of our products, has not only made some things a bit simpler to build out, but also seems to be forcing some small projects out — and continues to do so.

Just in the past month, I've moved a few operational processes into our OpenClaw setup, not because of cutting costs — that will come next — but because smaller platforms we used to power some of our operational needs are shutting down.

Today, I’m saying goodbye to one more that is closing in early June, and wishing the builders luck in finding new product ideas, monetizing them, and continuing the journey of independent builders.

It’s still not a seamless transition, despite all the engagement farming, but once it’s set up... you’re still going to monitor the shit out of it, because there’s always a chance it crashes.
